You don’t have to choose: in a 2-of-3 they work well together, and I use both. The Trezor Safe 5 has the easiest screen to read an address on. The BitBox02 remembers your multisig, which makes it the stronger check, and its firmware is easier to verify. Check new addresses on both.

Where the Trezor wins
Mainly the screen. A multisig receive address is 62 characters long, and the Safe 5 shows all of it at once in a size you can actually read. On the BitBox02 you scroll through it, and scrolling is exactly when people stop checking the middle. The touchscreen also makes typing a passphrase much quicker than on two small sliders.
Where the BitBox02 wins
It’s easier to verify and simpler to live with. BitBox publishes reproducible builds, so independent people can confirm the firmware on the device is the published code. It registers your multisig once and remembers it, so it can check addresses against your real setup, even if your computer has been tampered with. The Trezor can’t: it uses whatever setup Sparrow sends.
What both get wrong by default
Each one suggests a backup you don’t want in a mixed-brand multisig. The Trezor offers a 20-word SLIP39 backup that your other devices can’t restore; pick 24 words. The BitBox02 writes your seed to an unprotected microSD card; skip it and write the words down. Step 4 of the guide covers both.
